Can your office assist in obtaining a POC (Pakistan Origin Card) card for my wife, who is an Afghan national? I have a computerized marriage certificate and her passport ID available.?
We confirm that we can assist you in obtaining a Pakistan Origin Card (POC) and Pakistani nationality if required. However, please note that the Ministry is currently not issuing POC cards to female nationals of India and Afghanistan. Therefore, it will be necessary to file a writ petition before the High Court. Your wife will be able to obtain the POC only with the intervention of the High Court’s orders. There is no expedited procedure available, and we will need to await the High Court’s directions. This process may take approximately 4 to 12 weeks.
