arrested and got bail ( not convicted for now)

asalam-mu-alaikum
I was arrested and got bail ( not convicted for now) under section 144-section 188 of pillion riding( double sawari ).Can you please tell me if i would be able to apply aboard for MS or CSS exams or any other government service.Will this case affect my career in any form ? and secondly should i open the case and appoint a lawyer or should i just wait for court to take action on it as it is pending since 4 months and no action is taken.I have not be called to come to court.
