I own a restaurant and make all my own food/sauces etc. I want to bottle some of my sauces and sell commercially. I have been approached by some business men who have the connections and know how but they all want equal parts of the brand. Therefore there are 5 of us so that would be 20% each. I guess my question is should I split it equally or have a bigger percentage, therefore, protecting myself.

yes, it shall be better to kept high ratio of percentage for you. but the main thing is the agreement of partnership. all terms and condition should be briefly discussed in the agreement. It ll be better for you to become the Chief Executive of the company and get into writing through a lawyer.
