Question :

I have an e-commerce website for which I want to receive payments online. A payment processor JAZZ-CASH requires its merchants to register the company and get an NTN number for it. Do every company has its own NTN number or the NTN number of the owner is used to pay tax? Is there any difference in the NTN number when it comes to registering a company as a “Sole Trader” or “Limited Liability Company “. Thanks in advance.

Answer:

  1. Yes, NTN is mandatory along with registration of a Company. No, there is no difference between company NTN or sole proprietorship. In my opinion, you should register your business with the Registrar of Firms and an NTN may be obtained in this behalf as this is more hassle-free and easy process.
