According to Dissolution of Muslim Marriages Act, 1939 , A woman married under Muslim Law shall be entitled to obtain a decree for dissolution of her marriage if the husband has neglected or has failed to provide maintenance to her for a period of two years. or any Muslim women may dissolve her marriage in Pakistan at any time without any reason on the basis of Khula.
According to Christian Laws, the husband or wife may obtain a decree of separation on the ground of adultery , cruelty or desertion for two years or upward.
but the divorce can only be obtained on the basis of adulatory with cruelty.
