Assalam o Alaikum. I am a lecturer at a public sector university (BPS-18) . when i was hired in 2008, the minimum qualification for appointment was 16 years of education and i met the criteria. HEC now says (letter written to VCs on 7th march) that universities raises the qualification of their lecturers to 18 Years (MPhill). Should this apply to new appointments only? Can university fire me for not meeting the new criteria? It is a Public sector university under punjab Govt.
