Remarried without having his wife’s consent

Polygamy i.e another marriage without the permission of the Arbitration council (with the consent of the first wife)is an offence in Pakistan.
Any man who contracts another marriage without the permission of the Arbitration Council shall on conviction upon complaint be punishable with the simple imprisonment which may extend to one year and with fine of five lac rupees.
