Question :

I had bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 from a seller for Rs 78,000 on OLX who had claimed that the set was PTA approved and in 10/10 condition. I checked the IMEI number before buying and it was shown to be OK.

However, after 3 hours of the purchase, I tried installing a banking aap but I kept getting an error. Upon checking further I found out that not only was the phone ‘ROOTED’ but the IMEI number (though verified) belonged to some other Samsung Set.

I met the seller and confronted him the next day but he refused to give me back my payment and is still refusing to do so.

Please let me know if I should register an FIR on the basis of fraud or is there any other platform that can help me resolve this issue.

    who is seller… an individual or a Shop….?

    you may get register an FIR against him, as it is a serious offence now in Pakistan. or may also file a case before consumer court if you bought it from a shop.
